1999- Honda Activa

• The Honda Activa is  made by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). It was launched in India in May 1999. Production in Mexico began in 2004.
• Honda began selling a new version of the Activa in the Indian market on 8 May 2009, with a new 109 cc engine. Honda said the Fuel economy was improved by 15%.
• The vehicle has the option of kick- and self-start, and includes the puncture-promat xx-ref/allresistant "tuff-up" tyre and tube combination.


2014- Honda activa 125

• On 28 April 2014  nationally launched the all new Activa 125 starting at Rs 52,447.
• Activa 125 is Honda's  developed 125cc engine delivering superb net power of 6.4kw (8.6 BHP) @ 6500 rpm and amazing torque of 10.12Nm@5500 RPM.
• On the safety front, Honda's proprietary Combined Braking System or CBS comes as a factory fitted standard in Activa 125 while deluxe variant is loaded with 190mm front disc brakes for superior and controlled braking.


2015-  Honda activa 3G

• On 5th February 2015 Honda launched the  Activa 3G with a price tag of Rs 48, 852.
• Replete with new styling elements, the latest avatar of the Honda's automatic scooter now gets a myriad of new updates including side panels, winkers, front stance, and tail-light.
• The scooter also offers comfortable sitting position, ample foot space, and a longer and wider seat for the rider's comfort and convenience.Whereas the combined braking system (CBS), full metal body, and tubeless tyres work on ensuring reliability.
• The Activa 3G is powered by a 110cc engine with Honda Eco Technology that promises a mileage of 60Km/l.


2017- Honda activa 4G

• The Honda Activa 4G is the fourth generation model of the Activa, which was launched in February 2017.The Honda Activa 4G is priced at Rs. 50,730.
• The Honda Activa 4G gets a 109 cc, single-cylinder engine which makes 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
• The engine of course, conforms to BS IV emission norms. The engine is paired to a V-matic CVT transmission and has a company claimed top speed of 83 kmph.


2018- Honda activa 5G

•The Honda Activa 5G is offered in two versions the base Standard variant and the top-end Deluxe trim with a host of new features. The Activa Deluxe is priced at Rs 54,325 which is about Rs 2,000 over the Standard variant.
• There are no mechanical changes, as the popular 109.19 cc petrol engine continues to power the Activa 5G, and is capable of 8 PS and peak torque of 8.94 Nm.
• To improve the value-for-money proposition the 2018 Activa offers a few convenient features which include a front hook, four-in-one lock with seat opener switch and retractable rear hook.


2019- Honda activa 6G

• The new Honda Activa 6G is expected to arrive in the mid-2019, before Diwali festival season. The new model will come with significant changes to its styling.
• Adding to it, the scooter will also get feature upgrades. The Activa 6G will be powered by the existing 109cc engine, but it will be upgraded to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms.
• The Activa 6G will be powered by the existing 109cc single-cylinder engine, but this engine will be upgraded to meet the BSVI emission norms. Paired to an automatic gearbox, this engine produces 8bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

How & why evolution? Hero honda splendor


In this blog we exploring the journey of hero honda splendor from  1994 to today

1994- Hero Honda Splendor
:- Hero honda launched its first Splendor model in 1994. It is also known as splendor 1994, now the production of the bike has been stopped.

:- The bike was powered by the 97.2 cc engine which produces a peak power of 7.4 BJP.  It had a simple design and a decent look.

:- Hero honda splendor has been declaerd as the best selling model of entire range of models.



2004- Hero Honda Splendor plus

:- In 2004, Hero Honda launched the upgraded version of the Splendor, the Splendor+.

:- This version features multi-reflector headlight, tail light and turn signal lights, and new graphics with tagline " Lage aisa family jaisa ".


2005-Hero Honda Super Splendor

:- The super splendor was introduced in 2005 which is a lightweight motorcycle comes equipped with some promising features.

:- The vehicle is powered by a 125 cc engine that churns out a maximum power of 9.12 PS.

:- The new features are digital speedometer,  disc brake at front,  alloy wheels and new graphics which gives a super look to the bike.  It also delivers a decent mileage as it is featured with new ASFS engine.


2011- Hero Honda Splendor
:- Splendor pro is the next flagship model of Splendor series which launched back in 2011.

:- It is one of the best 100 cc bike in county from hero stable.

:- The bike comes with new graphics,  body fairing,  self-start & alloy wheels.


Hero Honda was changed into Hero Motocorp.



2014- Hero Splendor ismart
:- The Splendor ismart has to introduced in 2014. It is the first motorcycle which gives highest mileage of 102.5 KMPL. 

:- Hero brings a new technology in this bike,  i3s technology that gives a great mileage to the bike.  The i3s technology works as switches off the engine automatically when idle and engine switches on as soon as you press the clutch.

:- The power of the bike comes from an air cooled and 100 cc engine that produces a peak power of 7.9 BHP.

2015- Hero Splendor pro classic



:- Splendor Pro Classic has been manufactured to look like a cafe racer as well as it is launched in 2015.
:- The cafe racer is powered by a 97.2 CCTV engine  that produces  a maximum power of 8.2 BHP.
:- It is featured with compact handlebar, round shaped headlight  and retro styled tail section. The chrome finishing  over the fenders, rear view mirror, headlight, suspension  and exhaust.


2016- Hero Splendor pro

:- In 2016 Hero Splendor Pro launched in the market at Rs. 46,850  The updated Splendor Pro now gets electric start, new visor, clear lens indicator, revised fuel tank design and new graphics.

:- Besides the above-mentioned changes, the new Hero Splendor Pro also gets a side stand indicator, new grab rail and body-coloured side mirrors.

:- Since it's just a mid-life facelift of the bike, it receives no mechanical changes. It continues to feature the same air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder OHC 97.2cc engine that, mated to a four-speed gearbox, churns out a maximum power output of 8.25bhp and 8.05Nm of peak torque.



2018- Hero super splendor

:- In 2018 Super Splendor launched in India at a price of Rs. 57,190 . Hero says that the new Super Splendor is targeted at young professionals.

:- The bike has a 125 cc engine which is air-cooled and makes 11.24 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 11 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

:- The new 2018 Super Splendor also gets Hero's i3S start-stop system as well. Hero claims that the new model offers 27 per cent more power and 6 per cent more torque and can reach a top speed of 94 kmph.


2019- Hero super splendor ismart

:- The underpinnings of the Hero Super Splendor consist of a double cradle frame that is suspended on conventional telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic shockabsorbers at the rear.
:- Bringing the bike to a halt are 130mm drums at both ends. Sadly, the bike is not offered with a disc brake even as an option. However, with the new safety regulations set to be enforced from 1 April 2019, Hero will be equipping the Super Splendor with a front disc brake and CBS (combined braking system).
:- The Super Splendor rides on 2.75 section tyres shod on 18 inch alloy wheels at both ends. It gets a 13 litre fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 121kg.
